- This project was our entry in a private competition
organized by the owners of what had been the site in the seaside
of the historic Kursaal Theatre of San Sebastian. The program
included apartments, an hotel, a shopping center and an Auditorium.

- Other participants were: Saenz de Oiza, Corrales
& Molezún and Luis Gutiérrez Soto.

- There was no winner and later Corrales &
Molezún with Peña Ganchegui were commissioned to
design a new project that was never built.

- Years before, in the sixties, an International
Competition was held and won by a polish team with a very interesting
design.

- Finally, the Public Institutions bought the
land and after a third competition, Rafael Moneo has build a
Congress Hall.
