The program requested by the client consisted of two or three-story houses with high quality materials and construction and floor areas ranging from 120 to 140 m2, all with access to a private green area, and with a common entrance and garage. The building is configured as a "low profile multifamily residential building", reflecting the physiognomy of the original garden city by Zugazarte. Within the offset of the building from the roadway, a two-story apartment building with 8 multifamily dwellings, all of equal volume, was designed on a floor plan with dimensions of 12.80 m x 6.40 m between axes. This building winds between the existing trees, which were preserved almost in their entirety, giving rise to two open patios connected to each other, around which the entire building revolves, and from which the dwellings are accessed. These patios have green areas and separated by two surfaces of water, one a pond and the other a swimming pool. On the perimeter of the lot, a green "ring" is formed in which each dwelling has a clothesline, a paved terrace and a private green area. The common entrance to the dwellings is through a pedestrian street that gives onto the previously described patios. The building has a garage in the basement, shared by all the dwellings and with independent access from each dwelling. After the first project, the same client requested a solution
in brick with twelve smaller dwellings but of the same type.
The lot later changed owners. The new clients requested a solution
based on a multistory apartment building, which was the subject
of a completely different project described by us, elsewhere. |
