Description Facilities for an all year round youth camp for leisure, sport or study activities of young people aged 9-18 were needed in this wooded mountain site to the North of Madrid. The program includes eight small cabins each of them to house ten boys and a central building. |
The latter provides for dining, studying and religious facilities, a living room, and rooms for the staff .Sports facilities are also included. The main building and the sports grounds are located near the access, and the cabins dispersed in the woods distant from one and other in order to maintain the wilderness of the site. |
The camp can be used in all seasons and the cabins can lodge groups of different ages sharing the central dining services. The typical cabin has a unique main space split in three levels with the toilets near the entrance and a small porch. The sleeping quarters are placed in the loft space. |
