Although the lot allowed for a solution based on single-family houses, previous studies demonstrated that it would lead to an excessively high density for this typology and it was decided, with the client's agreement, to design a solution based on apartments. The lot has a linear shape with the entrance on the northern side, and the living areas of the dwellings look onto the garden on the southern side. On the southern façade, the balconies are "stepped" like a layer cake resulting in small hanging gardens which are connected to the dwellings through small greenhouses designed to capture the sun's energy in winter and reduce energy consumption. At each end of the row of apartments, three-story single-family houses were designed according to a similar program to the rest of the dwellings. By slightly raising the first floor of the dwellings, the single garage floor could be placed at the semibasement level with natural ventilation, making it a sort of entrance porch with especially careful finishes. The roof of the building is also used as a private garden for the upper floor dwellings. The façades are back-ventilated stone. In the garden, aside from a large swimming pool, a spa and a paddle tennis court were planned, both to be sunk below ground level in order not to block the views of the lower floor dwellings. The apartments are about 200 m2 in size and have an excellent floor layout that will allow future users to use them in a wide variety of ways.
